Hi, I’m Derya
My career in content marketing has humble beginnings. I launched my first blog at the ripe age of 12, later segueing into writing feature articles for lifestyle magazines through my teens and early twenties.
I quickly realized that my passion for writing was twofold: I loved the art of stringing sentences together, and I was fascinated by the people behind my pieces—the “why” behind their patterns, choices, and motivations.
That curiosity earned me a BSc in Business Administration with a minor in Evolutionary Psychobiology, and an MSc in Business Administration with a specialization in Digital Marketing, both from the University of Amsterdam.
Shifting my focus to the tech industry during the pandemic, I started working with international B2B SaaS start-ups, scale-ups, and software consultancies as a content marketer. This is where I’ve funneled my joint passion for psychology, writing, and business for over 5 years.
During this time, I’ve written content across all formats and for every stage of the funnel. And what I kept noticing was that the content with the most significant impact—the kind that moves decision-makers toward a confident purchase, or supports existing customers in expanding their use—was often overlooked.
That’s why today, I focus on all things buyer enablement and bottom-of-funnel content. I create and strategize the assets that keep indecision at bay and give B2B SaaS buying groups the confidence needed to move forward without constant hand-holding from sales.
Fun facts, quirks, and oddities
I’ve lived in four countries and had a one-year stint as a digital nomad fresh out of uni, so adaptability is my bread and butter.
I walked a marathon out of boredom. My next goal? Hit 100’000 steps in one day in 2026.
I’ve been wearing red polish for the past 6 years and feel physically sick when I try any other colour (does anyone know what this is called?)
I swam with eagle rays, sea lions, sharks, and turtles in the Galapagos (aka the highlight of my life).
I’m a crazy cat lady. I spend my free time petting and feeding strays.
